WEB HOUSTON Aug 21 Reuters - Top US oilfield services firm Halliburton HALN on Wednesday was hit by a cyberattack according to a person familiar with the matter.

In a statement Wednesday evening, Halliburton confirmed it was the victim of a cyberattack, and has asked some staff not to connect to internal networks.

According to the person familiar with the matter, the company has instructed staff to not connect to company networks until further notice.
